Santa Maria Zoquitlan’s mineral-rich soils and distinctive microclimate shape the character of its agaves, giving this mezcal a strong sense of place. Produced using traditional village methods: pit roasting, hand-crushing, natural fermentation, and time-honored distillation. It reflects generations of craftsmanship. The result is an authentic, terroir-driven expression that highlights both regional identity and artisanal expertise.
The nose offers a complex array of mineral notes and botanical elements, complemented by subtle smoke. Hints of lemon zest, red pepper, and tropical fruit. It has a strong, pronounced finish. With time in the glass, additional layers of complexity emerge, creating an aromatic profile that showcases the village's unique terroir. Ideal neat, at room temperature. An incredible Mezcal!
