Amaro Montenegro
Amaro Montenegro traces its origins to Bologna in 1885, when Stanislao Cobianchi—then a young herbalist and world traveler—developed a secret elixir of life. Eleven years later, he renamed it in honor of Princess Elena of Montenegro upon her engagement to the future King Victor Emmanuel III, and it has remained unchanged ever since. Crafted from an infusion of 40 botanicals—including bitter orange peel, vanilla, coriander, eucalyptus, and artemisia—it offers a beautifully balanced, bittersweet profile with floral facets.
On the nose and palate, you'll find gentle honeyed sweetness, bright citrus zest, warm spices like clove and cinnamon. The structure is smooth with a mildly bitter finish.
