Ojo de Tigre Mezcal Joven
Ojo de Tigre is an artisanal mezcal launched in 2018 by actor Luis Gerardo Méndez in partnership with Casa Lumbre and later backed by Pernod Ricard, blending sustainably grown Espadín from Oaxaca with wild Tobala from Puebla—both roasted in earthen pits and double-distilled in copper stills. Bottled at 40% ABV, this joven expression aims to be approachable yet rooted in traditional craft, offering a gateway into the mezcal world .
The nose opens with flinty minerality, green apple and pear, cooked agave and smoked cocoa aromas. On the palate, it's smooth and balanced—bright citrus and cucumber freshness, light smoke and coal-dust earthiness, finishing with subtle black pepper and dusty dryness
