Lazzaroni Amaretto
Lazzaroni Amaretto is an authentic Italian almond-flavored liqueur first produced in Saronno in 1851 by Paolo Lazzaroni & Figli, derived from their famous Amaretti di Saronno cookies infused in alcohol. The recipe uses apricot kernels and almonds, yielding a copper-hued, smooth spirit at 24 % ABV.
On the nose, it offers rich aromas of toasted almonds, marzipan, dried apricot, star anise, and cola nut. The palate is velvety and sweet, with caramelized sugar, roasted almond, honeycomb toffee, and lingering meringue and pink peppercorn notes.
