Colonel E.H. Taylor Straight Rye is a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey from Buffalo Trace, honoring 19th-century distilling pioneer E.H. Taylor Jr., and made using a unique mash bill of just rye and malted barley. Aged at least four years and bottled at 100 proof, it showcases a refined, old-style rye character with bourbon-like richness.
The nose offers aromas of dried fruit, caramel, clove, fresh dill, and lemon zest, while the palate brings sweet baking spice, green apple, peppermint, and subtle oak. The finish is dry and warming with lingering rye spice and soft vanilla.
