Yellow Spot is a revival of a classic Mitchell & Son expression, originally bottled in the 1950s. Reintroduced in 2012, it's crafted at Midleton by Irish Distillers using a blend of 12‑year‑old pot still whiskies matured in bourbon barrels, sherry butts, and uniquely, Málaga wine casks.
On the nose, expect delicate florals and fruit—white flowers, jasmine, bergamot, dried cherries—layered over honeyed barley and toasted oak. The palate delivers rich honey sweetness and brown sugar, evolving into coffee, milk chocolate, red apple, nutmeg, and black pepper.
