Rittenhouse Rye
Rittenhouse Straight Rye is a historic Bottled-in-Bond rye whiskey originally linked to Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, now produced by Heaven Hill in Kentucky using a mash bill with 51% rye, aged at least four years, and bottled at 100 proof. Its style leans toward a "Kentucky-style" rye—fruit-forward and slightly sweet, with enough spice to carry classic cocktails without overwhelming them.
The nose presents dried fruit, toffee, brown sugar, and light rye spice, while the palate delivers rich cola-apple flavors, cinnamon, caramel, leather, and mint, all balanced by gentle oak and white pepper. The finish is medium in length, clean, warming, and peppery—making it a versatile, affordable rye great for sipping neat or forming the backbone of cocktails like Manhattans and Old Fashioneds
