Ramnoux Pineau des Charentes
An ingenious and delicious bottling from a rising producer in Cognac’s Fin Bois, David Ramnoux took over his family estate in 1997, building on its early conversion to organic and biodynamic farming in 1992. This pineau shows impressive poise, suppleness, and vibrant acidity, enhanced by the addition of estate cognac aged over a year in new French oak at full strength. Made from a blend of Ugni Blanc, Colombard, and Sémillon, it is aged on the lees for 18 months before bottling.
Aromas and flavors of honeysuckle, white peach, rose water, lemon curd and white tea. Delicious before or after a meal, served chilled.
