A biodynamic and organic estate in the West Sonoma Coast, Peay Vineyards produces their Savoy cuvée from a high-elevation block of ancient clones—Calera, Pommard, Dijon—and sits at the top tier of California appellation Pinots. This 2022 Savoy was aged eleven months in 21 % new French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
On the nose, it opens with opulent raspberry, black plum, cedar, dried florals, and star anise; the palate layers wild cherry, clove, sea salt, leather, pine needle, sage, fresh lavender, and a touch of dark citrus.
