From an agricultural estate for over 500 years, Tenuta di Valgiano continues it's path present day at the helm of Laura di Collebiano who has ensured their protection of the Tuscan countryside and works the vines organically. Here Sangiovese has always remained central, and this new 2023 is one of the best vintages to date!
A blend of 70% Sangiovese, the remainder Syrah, Merlot (grapes that were historically introduced into this specific area back in 1793). This wine shines in all the right places, dark red cherries, beautiful spices, complex and lifted at the finish. On the plush side of medium+ body, this is a great roasted meat wine.
