Naturale Bitter Vino is a Sicilian joint venture between Giusto Occhipinti of COS winery (founded 1980) and Simone Sabaini of Sabadì chocolate, built on organic, spontaneous-fermented Cerasuolo di Vittoria base wine (60% Nero d’Avola, 40% Frappato) infused with indigenous herbs and botanicals. Crafted to spotlight wine-forward bitterness, this low-alcohol aperitivo balances a Campari-like edge with bright Sicilian fruit character
On the nose and palate, you'll find cedar, orange peel, gentian, quinine, dried fruit, clove, and caramel sweetness underpinned by vibrant mineral acidity. The finish is long, bittersweet, and refreshing—delicious neat, over ice, or as a spirited twist in spritzes, Negronis, or other cocktails.
