LIEB Cellars Chardonnay Estate 2022
Lieb Cellars is less than a mile from the Long Island Sound or Peconic Bay in New York State. Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc were planted in 1983, shortly after the founding of the region in 1973. Sustainability is a major focus, as they steward over 54 acres of land present day, making an exemplary lineup of wines.
The Estate Chardonnay is partially barrel fermented, partially stainless steel, so the perfect balance between texture and fruit. Luscious ripe pear, Fuji and Golden Delicious apples, and a touch of cardamom spice lead the way. The rich, plump mid-palate carries notes of vanilla and brioche toast, while the vibrant acidity extends the lush, lingering finish.
