Knob Creek was introduced in 1992 by Booker Noe as part of Jim Beam’s Small Batch Bourbon collection, aiming to revive full-flavored, pre-Prohibition-style bourbon with nine years of aging and a bold 100-proof bottling. Crafted from Beam’s traditional mash bill and aged in char‑4 new American oak barrels, it delivers rich, deep amber color and classic bourbon robustness.
The nose greets with caramel, peanut butter, vanilla, toasted oak, and subtle notes of dried fruit and nutmeg, leading into a palate brimming with layered caramel, brown sugar, baking spice, and gentle tobacco oak. The finish is long yet balanced—warm, oaky, with lingering spice, leather, and a touch of honey—making it a versatile dram for sipping neat or enjoying in bold cocktails.
