Junmai Sake 'Blue Door' Brooklyn Kura

Sunset Park-based sake brewery Brooklyn Kura, the first of its kind in New York, is crafting delicious sakes with the spirit of traditional Japanese expressions. During a chance meeting in Japan in 2013, Brian Polen and Brandon Doughan shared their love for the beverage. They created their own company in 2018 and today they offer a large line of expertly made sakes.

A junmai namazake, this chilled sake offers aromas of savory raw mushrooms, dried grasses, and hints of golden melon. On the palate, it is dry and robust, with tender flavors of banana, firm apricot and rich earthiness.
