Roagna Dolcetto d'Alba 2023
A classic expression from the historic Roagna estate in Barbaresco, this Dolcetto comes from organic vineyards in the Paje and Carso parcels on the Asili hill, planted over 45 years ago in chalky, limestone‑clay soils, with extended maceration on indigenous yeasts in large casks for nearly 100 days. Crafted entirely from Dolcetto grapes, it reflects the region’s signature style: dry, modest alcohol (around 12–12.5 %), with moderate acidity and gentle tannins.
Brimming with floral spice, crushed black cherry, violet, licorice and leather, it shows energy, lift, and a subtle bitterness that’s dexterously balanced by blue-fruited purity and finesse
