Green Chartreuse
Green Chartreuse is a legendary herbal liqueur created in 1764 by Carthusian monks in the French Alps, based on a secret recipe of 130 plants, flowers, roots, and spices passed down since 1605. Still produced by monks near Voiron (and now in Aiguenoire).
Bottled at 55% ABV, it offers a vivid green hue and a strikingly complex nose of mint, basil, hyssop, citrus peel, pine resin, and sweet spice. The palate is intensely herbal, bittersweet, and warming, with layers of anise, ginger, tarragon, and lime leaf.
