This red hails from the respected estate Domaine de Vernus in Beaujolais’ Morgon appellation, where 66‑year‑old Gamay vines on volcanic and blue‑stone soils are farmed and vinified with minimal intervention (hand‑harvested, destemmed ~90%, cold maceration, wild yeast, ~10 months in oak). 

The nose offers smoky kirsch‑like ripe cherries and wood‑smoke notes, while the palate delivers supple red and black fruit, refined tannins and a mineral finish—ready to enjoy now yet built for short‑term aging.
