Domaine Danjean-Berthoux is a respected, four-generation family estate based in the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise. Winemaker Pascal Danjean moved the domaine away from selling to large cooperatives in 1993 to bottle his own estate-grown wines. Managing 13 hectares of prime limestone slopes, the family uses sustainable farming and minimalist cellar methods to highlight the natural purity of their fruit.
Chardonnay. This opens with white flowers, firm apricot and pear on the nose. The palate holds yellow orchard fruit and an elegant dash of nuttiness, all balanced by a stony, invigorating structure. A hint of salinity at it's finish creates a lovely, mouthwatering sip.
