This Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru from a five‑hectare, family‑owned estate, hails primarily from 100 % Merlot vines grown on a mix of clay and gravel soils in Vignonet, Saint‑Sulpice‑de‑Faleyrens and Saint‑Émilion. The 2020 vintage displays a deep ruby colour and offers a complex nose of violet, blackberry, raspberry, vanilla and undercurrent of dark spice.
On the palate it’s balanced with fresh red‑ and black‑fruit, fine tannins, subtle oak influence and a sleek finish that hints at graphite and iron‑rich minerality. It’s already showing beautifully but would benefit from another 5‑8 years in the cellar to fully develop.
