Château Grand Mayne is a historic Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate with roots dating back to the 16th century, celebrated for its prime clay-limestone terroir and long-aging, classically styled Bordeaux wines. Family-owned by the Nony family since 1934, the château combines traditional Right Bank elegance with modern precision, producing wines that balance richness, freshness, minerality, and finesse.
Their 1996 is a beautifully structured Saint-Émilion with deep purple color and layered aromas of black cherry, blackberry, raspberry, licorice, minerals, and subtle white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, it delivers impressive depth and elegance, with polished tannins, noticeable new oak, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Both powerful and refined, the wine balances richness and freshness with classic Right Bank character.
