Chartreuse Vegetal 100mL
The illusive monks famously making Chartruse also make this rare and rather potent alpine elixir with 130 plants - from flowers, bark, roots, and spices - all macerated for several weeks which produces this vibrant green color, naturally. The recipe is from 1605 and remains untouched since 1764.
This is a cordial, taken almost medicinally as a digestif. Consumed in one pure teaspoon, mixed in hot tea or a toddy, a few drops in a cocktail, or over a sugar cube.
