Chartreuse Gentiane
Chartreuse Gentiane des Pères Chartreux is a 22.7% ABV bitter aperitif liqueur produced by Carthusian monks in the French Alps. It features a beetroot-spirit base infused with wild gentian root and secret alpine herbs, offering earthy, floral, and citrus notes. Often compared to Suze, it is typically served chilled, with soda, or in cocktails. This liqueur is much rarer than standard Green or Yellow Chartreuse, often sought after for that reason.
Best enjoyed chilled, paired with blackcurrant (cassis), tonic/soda, or used in a White Negroni.
