From the small, under‑the‑radar estate Cascina Baricchi in Piedmont, this wine is made from 100 % Barbera grown on a clay‑limestone‑sand parcel planted in 1992 (the “Riva della Coda” site) and vinified with destemming, ~10‑day maceration, followed by 18–24 months in large neutral barrels and at least 12 months in bottle.
It shows deep ruby colour with aromas of plum, cherry, raspberry, floral notes and subtle herbal‑spice underbrush, while the palate is elegant and harmonious, fresh yet persistent, with enveloping fruit and mineral structure.
