Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon is the flagship expression from Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky—America’s oldest continuously operating distillery, officially named in 1999 but tracing its roots back to the late 1700s and acquired by the Sazerac Company in 1992 . Crafted using a low-rye mash bill and aged around 8–10 years in new charred oak barrels, it’s bottled at 90 proof, offering consistent quality and everyday versatility.
The nose presents a deep amber richness of vanilla, caramel, molasses, mint, and gentle oak; the palate layers in brown sugar, toffee, dried fruit, and mild spice over a smooth, medium-bodied core.
