Bloomer Creek—an expressive, organically farmed estate in New York’s Finger Lakes founded by Kim Engle and Debra Bermingham—is celebrated for its bold, natural wines rooted in Cayuga Lake terroir. The Tanzen Edelzwicker Black Cap 2023 is a skin‑contact blend made from about 75% Cayuga White (from Auten Vineyard) and 25% Gewürztraminer (Morehouse Road Vineyard); the Cayuga spent 6–7 days on skins and the Gewürztraminer 10 days before pressing, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
On the nose it offers bright orchard fruit and floral spice, while the palate reveals energetic citrus, gentle tannins from extended skin contact, and a crisp, saline‑tinged finish.
