Agricola Brandini R56 Barolo 2020
The “R56” comes from the eponymous vineyard surrounding Brandini’s cellar in La Morra, planted on calcareous‑sandy soils at high elevation (~410‑435 m) with strong alpine ventilation—making it one of the most distinctive micro‑sites in the Barolo zone. Made from 100 % Nebbiolo, the wine is fermented partly whole‑bunch and partly destemmed, undergoes about three weeks of skin contact, then ages for roughly 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks before bottling.
On the nose it offers intense, austere aromas of red berry, rose petal and subtle spice; the palate is precise and aromatic, with a dense tannic frame, elegant structure and persistent finish.
